Song three on the inspiration playlist is a song I have loved since I was a child, and I love the meaning of the song.
Song three is Doris Day. Qué Sera Sera.
“What will be, will be”. It’s such a powerful phrase. Sometimes, no matter how much you plan, or how much work you put into something, things don’t work out.
I do believe things happen for a reason, mostly. That’s not to say you shouldn’t plan or work hard for things. You absolutely should. But just try to remember that sometimes, life doesn’t go to plan, and there could be a different, more positive thing around the corner.
Sometimes it’s good to try to knock down the wall that traps us, but it’s knowing when to walk away and find an alternative path, that’s the important skill of life.
I love “old Hollywood”. Black and white movies and movie stars like Cary Grant and Marilyn Monroe. And Doris, of course. I was raised on old movies and I love them.
Doris Day was my grandma’s favourite actress, and I’d be sat down, in front of the TV every time one of her movies was on TV (or when my grandma wanted to watch a film) and Doris Day was a pretty good role model. She tended to play strong, independent females. She is also one of my favourite actresses, too.
And, while I’m mentioning my grandma….I love James Stewart. I think he was an amazing actor. My grandma did not share this opinion, and the film featured in the clips, “The man who knew too much”, was tough for her to watch. I love it, and I also love Alfred Hitchcock films, and the film was directed by Hitchcock.
